This first-rate, ex-designer deadstock suit weight fabric is lightweight but will provide warmth without bulk and has added elastane for a comfortable fit. Mint Liquorice Gingham is a finely woven worsted wool fabric, light and drapey and a particularly popular gingham style design.

Properties:
Mint Liquorice Gingham is woven from a combination of mainly wool superfine yarns in a close flat weave, this produces a stable and surprisingly hard-wearing, naturally breathable fabric with a soft and elegant drape quality. A touch of elastane provides a comfortable ease across the width allowing for slim fit styles and ease of wear.
Suiting-weight wool fabrics are extremely versatile, more elegant than cotton, less prone to creases and naturally temperature regulating. This fabric will take steam well and pleat crisply to form sharp details. It will also form soft gathers and gentle ruffles-perfect for creating feminine details such as peplums and gored panels.
