Introduction:

This gloriously opulent satin is a lightweight viscose & acetate blend jacquard-woven satin fabric that was originally created for a renowned British designer. Famous for fine occasion wear (in both ladies and menswear) with a quirky and elegant style, inspired by history and the natural world.

Fabric Properties:

Studded Steel (Teal & Pewter) is part of a collection of fabrics, available in a range of rich, jewel-hued multi-tones and iconic designs. Like their sister fabrics (SOS fabrics), they have excellent versatility. These impeccably woven (not printed) finest quality lightweight fabrics are cool and breathable and just too handsome to be hidden away as linings only!

Studded Steel (Teal & Pewter) is a finely woven, lightweight viscose & acetate blend that boasts a cleverly woven design of studded square motifs in silver, against a rich teal-hued background that features a sleek and high performance engineered blue titanium style. Think fast cars and expensive watches. This quality woven fabric has a super smart and sleek style that means business.

This stunning silken satin fabric will complement rich and opulent autumn winter woollen pieces, from fine tailoring through to a host of accessories, as well as our very special in-house sewing pattern: The Jemima Waistcoat from The Pattern Stash. Use Studded Steel to add a pop of opulence to your usual black key pieces.

Boasting a super soft, cool silky feel and subtle sheen you would be forgiven for thinking this was silk. This first-rate fabric has a lightweight yet sumptuous hand that is stable width and lengthwise, with a delicious drape and excellent body which will form exquisite full gathers and pleats. All you have to decide now is what to make.
