Garment Suggestions:

Use this first-rate fabric to create timeless trench coats with all the classic details including epaulettes, storm flaps, fabric belts and wrist tabs. Add some matching buttons and perhaps some contrasting piping to the collar and you will have your own designer masterpiece! For simpler styles choose streamlined overcoats with simple single-breasted fastenings and slanted welt pockets.

If overcoats and trench coats aren't for you look at The Kelly Anorak from Closet Case Patterns and The Eden from Tilly and The Buttons, these anorak styles are perfect for creating smart-casual jackets from Classic Navy.

Merchant and Mills have The Landgate Pattern a versatile cagoule style popover, and The Strand a classic and simply stylish overcoat.

Other Uses:

When you have finished making your fabulous outerwear make matching hats, caps and bags. Classic Navy is perfect for tote bags, messenger bags and stylish caps and hats!

This fabric is lightly showerproof.

Please conduct your own wash tests on some scrap fabric- we cannot be held responsible for the fabric once in the possession of the customer. This fabric was tested with a light shower of water. For extra shower proofing you may need to use waterproof tape on the seams.
