Deep Dye Indigo - Stretch Denim (11oz) is a classic! Dark indigo colouring with a heavy twill weave, woven from deep, dark indigo -navy yarns on the warp and classic natural through the weft, this fabric has so much going for it!

Boasting ample usable width and a strong and stable handle (and a useful 2% elastane across the width) with slight ease on the length.

Denim was originally designed for hard-wearing workwear and has become a fashion staple that we can't imagine life without. What will you make from this versatile denim? Deep Dye Indigo is perfect for jeans, especially retro 1950s styles, pinafore dresses, dungarees like our Lynsey Dungarees or our new Amelia Skirt! Neat skirts, practical pinafores, french aprons and classic denim jackets will also look excellent.

Don't feel limited to typical denim styles; Deep Dye Indigo is also perfect for smart/casual styles, think blazers with bound seams. The Merchant & Mills 'The Foreman' is the perfect men's jacket pattern.

Now every member of the family can have denim garments, all made from this hard-wearing classic!

There may be some colour rub when new, pre-washing is advised. This excellent denim will fade and wear subtly and beautifully.

Gorgeous dark luxury denim

I’ve made a jumpsuit with this denim, and it’s lovely, great to sew with, and to wear as the stretch is just right. The colour is a nice dark indigo, with the pale under threads just showing to emphasise the weave - I love it and will be buying more. Would make great jeans, utility jackets, worker aprons
