Introduction:

This light, airy and carefree fabric has a delicious palette of mouth-watering hues reminiscent of a splendid French macaroon display in a Parisian shop window. Woven from superfine cotton and linen yarns in a classic twill woven checked design.

Enter a Parisian patisserie full of delightful pretty macaroons and imagine those peachy orange hues sitting alongside, strawberry pink, blueberry mauve, pink raspberry, classic vanilla cream and zingy blue raspberry!

Properties:

Macaroon Crinkle this light and airy fabric has a soft malleable hand, thanks to a gentle pre-crinkled (loose seersucker style) finish which is super pretty. The fine yarns are woven in a classic fine twill weave, this fabric is light yet strong and has a super soft drape perfect for soft gathers and ruffles. When held to the light the fabric is quite translucent so it will suit gathered or pleated styles or garments for layering over camisoles and vests.

You don't need to iron this so it's perfect for casual holiday garments simply twist it and put it in your case!

Great colour very thin material.

I bought the fabric to make a Donny Shirt, which is a great pattern. However this fabric was difficult for me, it’s so thin and my sewing machine did not like sewing it as a single layer where the pattern asked for staystiching. It also frays quite easily. It is very pretty but I think you would need to have a project that required thin floaty material or consider lining the finished garment. Another problem was the fabric was not cut straight, fortunately Fabworks are usually generous on the metre so it wasn’t really an issue for me.
