Introduction:

White Classic Diamond Weave - Royal Oxford Designer Shirting was originally created for a top British designer. This Turkish cotton has a silken, high thread count, a soft feel and a reassuring hand. Its feature diamond weave is a true classic. These impeccable shirting fabrics are often made into dress shirts for formal occasions, but why save something so pleasing for a once-in-a-while occasion? We think this handsome fabric deserves a place in all our lives for some daily indulgence.

Colour:

White Classic Diamond Weave Gleaming natural white cotton yarns give this quality fabric its timeless appeal. Classic natural white has a place in everyone's wardrobe.  Add the allure of flawless diamonds and you have the perfect combination.

White Classic Diamond Weave can be made up into a multitude of styles, from super smart to semi-relaxed smart casual, (think quality shirt, jeans and blazer style). This will go with anything just choose differing styles for different occasions!

Properties:

White Classic Diamond Weave is soft, stable and hard-wearing. It will hold crisp details such as collars, facings and cuffs- for classic shirt making. It drapes reassuringly softly and will form the prettiest (full) gathers for flounces, ruffles and tiered styles and show off a subtle lustre!

Garment Suggestions:

Put Superfine Diamond Weave Ivory Shirting to use, creating classic pussy bow blouses or neat classic cut shirts. You could also use it in historical style costumes for Edwardian high-necked blouses or create empire-line regency styles. This classic dress shirt fabric will form pretty gathers, pin-tucks and frills. Combine with antique-style fine lace for full effect, you can use this technique for making christening gowns and outfits which will become future heirlooms.

Classic Diamond Weave will also make superb classic and retro style shirts, Sew Mark Francis' Brighton Shirt Pattern and Vanessa Mooncie's Book: The Gentleman's Wardrobe also has a similar retro style shirt pattern with cropped sleeves. The Kalle Shirt by Close Core Patterns will make up perfectly in this quality fabric an invaluable piece for easy outfits. Team with your favourite jeans.

Put this fabulous fabric to use for boho blouses or peasant-style smocked blouses add some contrasting embroidery Anthea Blouse by Anna Allen is a perfect choice!

The Megan Nielsen Patterns' Protea Capsule Wardrobe would make perfect examples of pretty full-gathered styles for easy, stunning outfits and so versatile!

Other Uses:

Add this classic white fabric to your crafting stash for a luxe addition to your patchwork, applique pieces, and much more. We think this will make beautiful pillowcases perfect for embroidered monograms which will make a special gift.
