Introduction:

Bewitching - Pin Point Designer Shirting is a superb example of fine Italian craftsmanship. Superfine cotton yarns are cleverly woven to produce this classic light/medium weight shirting with a subtle tonality, that has an almost lightweight denim/chambray styling to it.

Colour:

Bewitching is woven from a high thread count of the finest black yarns across the warp. The most bewitching deep blue fine yarns are then woven throughout the weft in collective groups or sets to create a tiny basket weave which produces a pinpoint effect of blue onto black. Shirting of this fine quality is revered by Savile Row tailors because of its quality and classic style.

Properties:

Bewitching is super soft with an almost silken lustre. This is displayed when the fabric falls into a soft and sumptuous drape. When gathered or pleated it will form excellent fullness, perfect for tiered and ruffled, full styles.

Garment Suggestions:

Bewitching will make classic dress shirts and retro-style shirts like the one in Vanessa Mooncie's Book: The Gentleman's Wardrobe with cropped sleeves.

Put this fabulous fabric to use for '50s skater-style fit & flare dresses. Accessorise these stand-alone pieces with contrasting red shoes and handbags to create a classic combination.

Create cool cotton classics like the Sew Different Camomile Kaftan or Darjeeling Frock the perfect alternative to The Little Black Dress. Shirt dresses, tunics and play or jumpsuits are also excellent choices to make from this Bewitching cotton classic.

All of these ex-designer shirting fabrics will of course make the most handsome classic pyjamas with contrast piped collars, pockets and cuffs. Add matching robes for the full set -Vanessa Mooncie's Book: The Gentleman's Wardrobe also has a superb robe pattern!

The Megan Nielsen Patterns Protea Capsule Wardrobe would make perfect examples of pretty full-gathered styles for easy, stunning outfits and so versatile!

Other Uses:

Add this fabric to your crafting stash for a richly dark accent within patchwork and applique pieces and much more.

Super quality

I’ll be making Fran pjs.by Closet Core with this fabric. It is a very good quality and washed well. My only slight niggle is how shiny it is. I may use the reverse as my outer side.
