Introduction:
Puce - Pin Check Designer Shirting is a superb example of fine Turkish craftsmanship. Superfine Turkish cotton yarns are cleverly woven to produce this classic shirting with a subtle tonality.
Colour:
Woven from a high thread count of fine groups of alternating dried cranberry-red and white yarns across the warp. Classic white fine yarns are then woven throughout the weft in collective groups or sets to create a tiny grid-like weave which produces a pin check of white and puce/dusky pink. Shirting of this fine quality is revered by Saville Row tailors because of its quality and classic style.
Properties:
Puce is super soft with an almost silken feel. A stable hand and soft drape quality allow the fabric to fall into a soft and sumptuous drape. When gathered or pleated it will form excellent fullness, perfect for tiered and ruffled, full styles;

This feels luxurious and soft! It is smooth and very fine. I’m making a shirt for my partner and it’s going to be extremely impressive. Because the cloth is so fine and smooth it has ended up slightly slippery in places but not overly so: in general it has been quite well-behaved as a fabric to cut and sew. I really like the colour; at the same time as buying this I also chose some cotton lawn for myself and the pinky-purple in the lawn goes beautifully to give some contrast elements.
