Comet Trail is a first-rate ex-designer surplus stock suit weight fabric, quite literally out of this world with a dramatic black base playing host to horizontal slub-dashes of multicolour like a snapshot of outer space!

Comet Trail deep, mysterious classic black the colour of darkest outer space forms the superfine worsted yarn warp and is woven throughout the weft in a wonderful finely slubbed yarn featuring multicolour pops of red, blue, green, orange and purple. These colourful horizontal slubs give the impression of comet trails in deep space. Classic black with a twist, for those who crave colour!
Properties:
Comet Trail is woven from a combination of all-wool superfine yarns in a close-staggered twill weave, this produces a stable and hard-wearing, naturally breathable fabric with a soft and elegant drape quality. Suiting-weight wool fabrics are versatile mediumweights similar to cotton drills and twills but are so much more elegant. This fabric will take steam well and pleat crisply to form sharp details. It will also form soft gathers and gentle ruffles- perfect for creating feminine details such as peplums and gored panels.
