Introduction:

100% Viscose Twill - Silken Ink is a first-rate fabric that's super smart, worthy of a place in your fabric stash. You are sure to find an infinite number of projects to make up in this classic french, navy ink-toned fabric.

Properties:

Silken Ink twill woven fabrics are excellent for pulling other textures and styles together. Basic staples, key pieces within your wardrobe, soon become the ones most reached for that's why navy tones are classic. This slightly heavier than poplin shirt-weight fabric has the benefit of viscose's soft and drapey qualities plus the characteristic diagonals of the twill weave and a ravishing colour-infused jewel tone.

Garment Suggestions:

Silken Ink will make excellent shirts and blouses, quick make, alternative LBD dresses, shirt dresses, cowl necked dresses, drapey play suits and jumpsuits, loose-fitting trousers such as palazzo pants, harems and culottes, and so much more!

Create a super-smart pair of pyjamas and add contrasting silky white or red piping to the collar and cuffs. Finish off the ensemble with a matching robe! This classic fabric will look superb with an embroidered motif taking centre stage on the back of your kimono-style robe.

Lovely shade -- very soft and drapey / shifty once washed

Beautiful shade. Super soft to the touch once washed. But once washed, I'm finding it very intimidating -- it moves and shifts so much that it is _very_ hard to cut. Will have to research some tips on that.

Super colour, soft handle, excellent price

Lovely warm deep blue colour. I made the Atlas wrap dress by sewing masin. This has a soft collar and a draped front and this material worked really well. Tendency towards creasing and looser weave means care with finish advised.
