A beautiful silk chiffon lightweight dressmaking fabric
Pale biscuit background with a floral and paisley printed design in coral, dark rust/red, dusky lilac, soft beige and dove grey tones.
This super soft and feather light silk crinkle chiffon has a very light handle and a beautiful bohemian look to it. The colour palette is muted yet still warm, almost a faded splendour. A very drapey fabric with a lot of bias stretch that will gather and tuck beautifully.
Beginner sewers will need to have some experience with this kind of fabric or perhaps start with a scarf or small project first (French seams are recommended for chiffons). However, if you take your time and put in the extra effort this fabric will make the most stunning of garments. It's perfect for chiffon blouses or a stunning for a '70s inspired full gypsy style dress. Alternatively, you can use it over the top of a finer silk satin or cotton lawn to create beautiful drapey layers. Beach cover-ups for the summertime, such as sarongs or caftans are other great uses for Paisley Floral Fantasy. Try coordinating with other fabrics to create ruffles, frills or just use it for the sleeve on a blouse or dress for a different look.
