100% Linen Candy Stripes - Tangerine & White is a fabulously soft (almost washed and worn) cool, breathable linen fabric, woven from a combination of fresh natural white and tangerine yarns to form classic candy stripes. The combination of alternating yarns creates a fabulous sketchy melange effect with the relaxed look of striped chambray. A pleasing natural fibre fabric, suitable for clothing the whole family.
Made in Europe by a company of world renown, with centuries of expertise and tradition. This 100% Linen fabric gives you all the benefits of natural fibres. Linen has been used for centuries because of its beneficial properties; cool and breathable, gets softer with washing & wear and linen is impervious to moths and resists dirt and stains. Linen will not form lint or pill and can be washed at high temperatures with only moderate shrinkage. The characteristic slubs (once viewed as a fault) are now part of the aesthetic appeal of quality linen fabric.
Candy Stripes - Tangerine & White is stable, soft and has the feel of a favourite linen shirt. This light (but not flimsy) relaxed chambray style striped fabric will form crisp details (with a little light interfacing), such as collars and cuffs. Used in quantity it will form feminine gathers, pleats, pintucks and ruffles. So all you have to do is decide what to make. Soft, breathable and oh so comfortable you will want to make a wardrobe full of key pieces for a superb, summer layered-chic linen look. Its lightweight and soft drape make it the ideal candidate for a plethora of uses from the stylish to the practical.
