Anna has worked her magic with the Bondi Dress by Tessuti Patterns – this is her second version, and it’s easy to see why she came back to it. She knew straight away this fabric would be perfect, thanks to its soft drape and subtle texture, which complements the relaxed, easy-going style of the pattern beautifully.

Anna’s top tips:
“I’d definitely recommend overlocking your viscose crepe, even a simple zig-zag stitch will do, as it does tend to fray quite a bit. That said, it’s such a lovely fabric to sew with. Despite being lightweight, it’s surprisingly stable and didn’t wriggle about under the machine, which made the whole process really enjoyable. The end result is a comfortable, breathable dress – just the thing for hot, sunny days!”
