Simply Sapphire Herringbone - Yorkshire Tweed is a gorgeous all wool herringbone tweed. Manufactured in Huddersfield undergoing the same processes as our exclusive Heart of Huddersfield range.
Woven from a superbly lustrous yarn in a delightful mid-sapphire blue. This expertly woven woollen is the colour of Malham Tarn (lake) on a clear blue sky day. The fine herringbone weave adds textural interest to an otherwise plain fabric and emulates the ripples on the cool blue surface of the lustrous lake.
Simply Sapphire Herringbone is a closely woven herringbone with a versatile, cosy medium-heavy weight and traditional brushed wool feel, that will naturally repel water. The stable handle also drapes reassuringly with the promise of cosy warmth. This is the perfect fabric for a plethora of sewing room projects and it will always do as it’s told. Wool of this kind is easy to sew and will stand the test of time.
Dressmakers, Reenactors, Costumiers, Interior Designers and Craftspeople and all lovers of textiles will find a plethora of uses for this first-rate woollen, taking you through A/W. This is the ideal blue for mixing with other tweed combinations. Perfect for a base to appliqued cushions.
