Riverbank Repose Diamond Weave - Yorkshire Tweed is a gorgeous all wool tweed. Manufactured in Huddersfield undergoing the same processes as our exclusive Heart of Huddersfield range. This fabric is not one of Fabworks' own exclusive designs.
Woven from a delightful blend of multi tonal yarns, in a fabulous diamond weave, this fabric is full of rich verdant tones. Beautiful multi tonal warp yarns of bulrush brown and glaucous green reeds form the base. A stunning fresh green yarn the colour of weeping willow leaves forms the weft, creating a subtle contrast between the opposing chevrons of the diamond weave. The combination of the two yarns evokes thoughts of a lazy afternoon messing about on the river, floating downstream where the Alder trees dip their branches in the cool water.
An excellent verdant toned Yorkshire tweed that is just stunning, Riverbank Repose is a closely woven woollen fabric. It has a versatile medium weight and a traditional rustic wool feel that boasts a stable handle that drapes reassuringly with the promise of cosy warmth. It’s the perfect fabric for a plethora of sewing room projects - it will always do as it’s told. Wool of this kind is easy to sew and will stand the test of time.
Dressmakers, Reenactors, Costumiers, Interior Designers and Craftspeople and all lovers of textiles will find a plethora of uses for this first-rate diamond weave, taking you through A/W and perfectly into spring.
