This gorgeous all wool tweed. Manufactured in Huddersfield undergoing the same processes as our exclusive Heart of Huddersfield range. This fabric is not one of Fabworks' own exclusive designs.
Ribblehead View Herringbone - Yorkshire Tweed is a closely woven woollen fabric. It has a versatile medium weight and a traditional wool feel that boasts a stable handle that drapes reassuringly with the promise of cosy warmth. It’s the perfect fabric for a plethora of sewing room projects and it will always do as it’s told. Wool of this kind is easy to sew and will stand the test of time.
A pleasing grey melange yarn with the finest fibres of red and teal forms the warp of this superb herringbone tweed. The most beautiful natural, multi toned green, the colour of dried grasses and moss covered stones, form the weft. The combination of natural hues in this cleverly woven herringbone fabric bring to mind the architectural wonder of the Ribblehead Viaduct standing proud in the landscape of the Three Peaks in the Yorkshire Dales; moss covered stones and far-reaching views of rugged grasslands and towering mountains.
All lovers of textiles will find a plethora of uses for this first-rate Yorkshire Tweed, taking you through A/W and perfectly into spring.
