This soft, nubby, textured wool and polyester blend Herringbone Tweed has a fine medium-sized weave. The warp of this woolen is formed from a warm beige tone, with the weft fibres comprising of the rust and nubby/bouclé black, giving the fabric a look as if it has a scattering of tiny black peppercorns all over!
With a soft and drapey handle and also very stable (i.e. no stretch up or down), although with good bias stretch, this fabric is perfect for those projects such gathered, tucked or pleated skirts and dresses. Why not try a softly falling cape or waterfall front cardigan or coat!
The Peppered Smoked Herring(bone) is also perfect for more structured and tailored lighter weight pieces where you don't need so much bulk or weight, such as for use in jackets. It'd be great for accessories too, such as scarves, hats, bags and the like..
