Misty Moorland Plaid; is a superb 100% all wool twill. Manufactured in Huddersfield undergoing the same processes as our exclusive Heart of Huddersfield range. This fabric a not one of Fabworks' own exclusive designs.
Woven from a combination of subtle melange yarns that have been spun in Huddersfield. This subtle melange of yarns has produced a comforting natural palette that epitomises the hues of wild moorland during cool, misty, autumnal days. The grey limestone dry-stone walls are characteristic of the Yorkshire landscape - tumbling throughout the rich peaty ground populated by dusty faded heather.
Rich peat, misty grey, dusty heather and limestone coloured yarns are woven into intersecting stripes to create Misty Moorland Plaid's subtle marled effect. Overstripes of rich peat and a light rust accentuate this delightful 100% wool, creating points of interest and the opportunity to use as accents to coordinate with plain fabrics.
A closely woven woollen that has a versatile medium weight and the feel of a traditional, lightly brushed and slightly felted wool tweed. Boasting a stable handle that also drapes reassuringly, it's the perfect fabric for a plethora of sewing room projects. This skillfully crafted fabric will "do as it’s told", wool of this kind is easy to sew and will stand the test of time.
