Limestone Plaid is a superb all wool twill. Manufactured in Huddersfield undergoing the same processes as our exclusive Heart of Huddersfield range. This fabric a not one of Fabworks' own exclusive designs.

Limestone Plaid epitomises the grey hues within the limestone rocks that are characteristic of the Yorkshire landscape, towering like sentinels watching out over this proud land. Misty grey and rain soaked limestone coloured yarns are woven together to create this classic tweed check for a super smart style which will look equally good in a city or country landscape. The yarns used to weave this first-rate woollen have a subtle marled effect, created by using a marled grey yarn throughout the whole plaid. Overchecks of pale sandstone accentuate this delightful fabric creating a subtle point of interest and the opportunity to use this accent for coordinating with camel / beige fabrics.

This close-weave woollen has a versatile medium / heavy weight and has the feel of a traditional, lightly brushed and slightly felted wool tweed. Boasting a stable handle that also drapes reassuringly, this is the perfect fabric for a plethora of sewing room projects. A skillfully crafted fabric that will ‘do as it’s told’, wool of this kind is easy to sew and will stand the test of time. Use this stunning plaid to form the basis of your own country collection.
