Frozen Waterfall is a wonderful, fine Italian woven, all wool, herringbone weave, suiting fabric. The combination of fine, soft lightly brushed yarns of black and grey produce an all-over mid-grey tone and is similar in handle to a finely woven wool flannel. This expertly woven fabric has excellent versatility thanks to its stable handle and reassuringly heavy drape. Remember suiting fabric is not just for suits. This is a designer fabric that you can quite literally dress up or dress down.

Frozen Waterfall is perfect for a mountain of uses! This fabric will hold crisp details like collars and cuffs plus it will form superb ruffles, gathers and pleats.  Grey-toned stable fabrics have perennial appeal. The colours suit most skin tones and sit with so many other things in your wardrobe. Excellent for teaming with bright or jewel-toned fabrics.

Try our very own Cordelia Trousers from The Pattern Stash! Create perfect pleats and full drapey wide legs with a Fabworks exclusive sewing pattern! Do not be restricted and think you can only make trousers and jackets from Frozen Waterfall, this lightly brushed fabric is cosy but not over warm and will make alternative workwear - shirt dresses, tunics, pinafore dresses and the most elegant and wearable dresses you will return to, season after season. Vogue Patterns V1672 is an elegant wrap bodice dress with a gently flared skirt, perfect for wearing across the seasons. If trousers are more your style, the Zadie Jumpsuit from -  Paper Theory Patterns has similar lines to V1672.

Utility styles in grey tones are super useful and never date, fabulous for adding a smart casual twist when made in smart suiting fabric! The Assembly Line Patterns are ideal for utility styles as are Merchant & Mills and The Makers Atelier.  There are of course lots of other fabulous pattern brands out there, just choose patterns that let the fabric sell itself.
