Fabric of Life - Wool Tweed is woven from a melange of beautiful coloured yarns that are the essence of nature. Lush grass green and golden wheat are combined with classic black and natural white, similar to the black faced sheep that you see grazing the Yorkshire Moors. The delightful yarns have a homespun and wholesome look & feel that's soft and lightly brushed and have been woven in a staggered twill weave that resembles hundreds of tiny stairways stacked together. The relatively loose weave enables a soft drape quality that's perfect for enveloping yourself in on those chilly A/W days.
Fabric of Life - Wool Tweed has slight ease, width and lengthwise and good bias movement. It is not at all flimsy and unstable but has slight movement due to the nature and scale of the weave which is similar to a basket type medium / heavy woollen.
Take advantage of the wonderful, supple, cosy and malleable handle by constructing simple poncho type wraps ( you could even fray the edges?). Coatigans and cardigans which fasten with simple belts or chunky press stud fasteners are another excellent choice. For more traditionally tailored coats we recommend using suitable interlinings and stabilisers plus a good quality lining. If you love the look of hand knitted garments such as raglan sleeved sweaters and hoodies but don't have the time to knit then you can emulate those styles by creating them in this fantastic woven fabric that is just as cosy as your favourite sweater.
Fabric of Life - Wool Tweed will also make super comforting throws, simply fray the edges for quick and cost effective quality throws.
