Width: 150cm / 59inch

This beautifully soft cotton and viscose fabric is closely woven with subtle running stitch like stripes of dusty mauve alongside a classic french navy. This added detail elevates this fabric from being otherwise quite plain. Navy fabrics are a key part of many wardrobes, this versatile tone suits most complexions and has a certain class that black fabrics don't always have.

Running Stitch - Indigo Blue Bliss has a stable handle both width and lengthwise and the cool, soft cotton and viscose produces the feel of comforting natural fibres with a wonderfully reassuring drape against your skin. The perfect alternative to linen, to produce classic garments with understated elegance.

Use Indigo Blue Bliss to create key pieces for your wardrobe. Look at Merchant and Mills Patterns The Trapeze Dress, The Factory Dress, The Box Box dress and top, The Dress Shirt and The 101 Trouser for stylish workable styles. They also have some excellent men's patterns such as The All State Shirt all of which will make up perfectly in Indigo Blue Bliss. There are of course lots of other patters suitable, just think clean lines and use of drape.

Subtle, but definitely visible, stripes

I made a pair of Style Arc Bob trousers (balloon legs) with this. The running stitch-like stripes run from selvedge to selvedge, but I wanted the stripes to be vertical on the trouser legs, so I cut the pieces on the cross. Happy to say that the trousers do seem to be hanging okay. The fabric is more mediumweight than lightweight - it is a good weight for trousers.
