Woodland Glade Herringbone - Yorkshire Tweed
Woodland Glade Herringbone - Yorkshire Tweed is a gorgeous all wool tweed. Manufactured in Huddersfield undergoing the same processes as our exclusive Heart of Huddersfield range. This fabric is not one of Fabworks' own exclusive designs.
Woven from a delightful blend of multi tonal yarns. At first glance you will see the mellow dusty earth tones of the weft yarns, creating a subtle contrast with the warp yarns which feature rich earthy woodland greens and rich browns. These are the organic country colours of nature; golden moss, blue lichen, rich spruce and rich earthy leaf mulch. The combination of natural tones is like stealing a glimpse of a precious fawn, caught in the light of a woodland glade.
Woodland Glade is a closely woven woollen fabric. It has a versatile medium weight and a traditional rustic wool feel that boasts a stable handle that drapes reassuringly with the promise of cosy warmth. It’s the perfect fabric for a plethora of sewing room projects and will always do as it’s told. Wool of this kind is easy to sew and will stand the test of time.
Dressmakers, Reenactors, Costumiers, Interior Designers, Craftspeople and all lovers of textiles will find a plethora of uses for this first-rate herringbone, taking you through A/W and perfectly into spring.
Dressmakers; Woodland Glade is perfect for fashioning classic outerwear and hard-wearing separates. Start with simple and stylish pencil skirts, A-line skirts and waistcoats, choose a complementary quality lining and you’ll have garments that will soon become perennial favourites. Shift dresses and pinafore dresses are super comfy and make classic key pieces. When your sewing skills are more established, try classic jackets, coats and capes. Add multi toned, horn type buttons to your makes, picking out the jewel tones for an individual style.

Interior Designers; use this hard-wearing wool herringbone to create a range of coordinating soft furnishings such as cushions, throws, blinds and curtains for a truly harmonious styling in the home.
