Darkest Skies is an all wool Tweed check with black, lapiz blue, dark purple and subtle grey tones. It's a traditional woolly, rough Tweed woven in a small 1cm check. The dark purple, black and subtle grey fibres form the weft, with lapiz blue and further black and subtle grey yarns making up the warp.
It has a rough texture but a soft and manageable handle which isn't stiff. We advise using a lining, especially for use in jacket and coat making. Ideal for all outerwear and country style garments, a true classic Tweed! Other suitable uses for Darkest Skies are fitted skirts, pinafore dresses, waistcoats, capes, hats, bags and caps.
