Autumn Caché Herringbone - Yorkshire Tweed is a gorgeous all wool tweed. Manufactured in Huddersfield undergoing the same processes as our exclusive Heart of Huddersfield range.
Woven from a delightful blend of multi tonal yarns, this fabric is super smart and full of rich natural tones. Beautiful multi tonal warp yarns with a combination of moss and lichen greens, plus rich nutty browns (the colour of ripe chestnuts) forms the base. A gentle natural sheep-toned fleece yarn forms the weft, creating a subtle contrast between the chevrons of the herringbone weave. The combination of the warp and weft yarns give the fabric an understated but self assured style, with classic country appeal.
Autumn Caché is a closely woven woollen fabric. It has a versatile medium weight and a traditional rustic wool feel that boasts a stable handle that drapes reassuringly with the promise of cosy warmth. It’s the perfect fabric for a plethora of sewing room projects - it will always do as it’s told. Wool of this kind is easy to sew and will stand the test of time.
Dressmakers, Reenactors, Costumiers, Interior Designers, Craftspeople and all lovers of textiles will find a plethora of uses for this first-rate herringbone, taking you through A/W and perfectly into spring.
