This versatile grey/ beige fine worsted wool was expertly woven in Italy for a renowned British designer. Wood Pigeon - Dimple Wool is a subtle combination of soft grey and beige tones, like the plumage of its namesake. This lightweight woollen is woven using fine worsted yarn of two differing thicknesses and when held to the light you can see its small checked weave, which when woven at different tensions creates the small waffle-like uniform dimples throughout.

Wood Pigeon has a soft feel and excellent stability, with a little ease across the the width (due to the dimpled effect) and a soft drape quality that will gather and drape beautifully. This first rate designer fabric has similar qualities to seersucker and won't crease as easily as a smooth flat weave worsted, and is therefore perfect for all semi structured styles. However, don't think that suiting is just for suits! Utilise the soft drape quality of this gorgeous Italian woven wool for feminine dresses and less formal attire. This richly toned woollen waffle is from a collection of identical fabrics which are truly complimentary, and look spectacular when used collectively, either for colour-blocking or for smart separates that coordinate together.

Use Wood Pigeon to create stylish shirtdresses, classic long length shirt styles, or full skirted retro styles. Put this superb fabric to use for less formal but equally smart outfits such as tunics, pinafore dresses and skirts too.
