Peach Bellini - Double Crepe Italian Wool is a top-notch designer wool double crepe that oozes quality! You can tell a quality product when the fabric features a woven logo selvedge. This outstanding beauty came from a company that made garments for top high street ladies wear designers.

Peach Bellini, named after the famous peach and champagne cocktail, boasts the delicate pastel pink/peach hue of an iced champagne flute holding this refreshing and elegant cocktail. The perfect colour for elegant feminine attire, as light and uplifting as a chilled sparkling Peach Bellini, sipped on a Venetian balcony.

This delectable double, dress crepe has a classic crepe feel (finely grainy). It is malleable with a sumptuous and heavy drape, excellent resistance to creases, stable and easy to sew. There is slight ease across the width due to the crimped yarns. This incredible quality double crepe boasts excellent opacity thanks to its double construction. Woven from fine 100% virgin wool crimped yarn in super close weave construction. This highly revered fabric (that never dates) can be used for a plethora of timeless designs.

Wool crepe of this quality is hard to find because it is so versatile (and highly sought after), its redeeming qualities of temperature-regulating warmth, excellent drape and resistance to creases, good stability and heavyweight, mean there are a plethora of things you will want to make, from classic shift dresses to boxy kimono-style jackets and edgy contemporary styles.

We think that Peach Bellini will make elegant occasion wear; mother of the bride outfits such as Vogue - V9266 will look flawless and super stylish. The figure-skimming dress and matching bolero are ideal for this double dress crepe and perfect for spring weddings. Add some beaded embellishments for a bespoke touch.

Other classic styles are: shift dresses, angular A-line '60s inspired dresses, tailored pencil skirts and matching cropped 'Chanel style' jackets. For something a little different, shirt dresses or loose long line sleeveless waistcoats made in this dreamy Peach Bellini fabric will become essential key pieces.

If dresses and skirts aren't for you, Peach Bellini will also make the most stylish pleat fronted trousers The Pattern Stash - Cordelia Trousers - without the paper bag, or slimline cigar pants/trousers with a matching blazer too. Choose classic cuts for wardrobe keepers, you will never tire of.

Why choose wool fabric?

Benefits of sewing with Wool! 🐑

We love wonderful wool! Why? Because it looks beautiful, well yes but did you know wool has a series of superpowers that make it the most incredible natural fibre, suitable for more garment suggestions and sewing inspiration than possibly any other?

Wool has a unique naturally crimped 3D structure which attributes to some brilliant properties & makes it a great fabric to wear throughout all the seasons.

Naturally Breathable: This amazing 3D crimped structure promotes air circulation allowing air to pass through the fabric, allowing for circulation and ventilation for your skin to breathe, keeping you cool.

Shower Resistant: Sheep naturally produce a waxy substance called lanolin. As sheep live outdoors, this naturally occurring wax helps to protect sheep from the elements, naturally shedding water & keeping them dry. This same property is retained within the wool fibres when spun into yarn.

Moisture Absorbing: The moisture-retentive superpowers of wool! It’s hydrophilic core gives wool the ability to wick away moisture keeping you dry and comfortable – this possibly one of our favourite properties because you can stay fresh when wearing wool, from autumn right through to spring!
