Teal & Steel - Grey Herringbone is an all wool herringbone fabric from the Rain On The River collection, one of our very special Heart of Huddersfield wools.
Spun from a blend of the finest wool fibres, this subtle combination has a predominantly pastel-like teal-green tone. A beautiful pale marled grey warp yarn forms the base, with a fresh multi tonal teal yarn on the weft. The combination of the two yarns creates a subtle soft teal tone that showcases the classic chevrons of the herringbone weave perfectly.
Teal and Steel – Grey Herringbone is named after its stunning colours, with water inspiration at its design roots this gorgeous fabric reminded us of steel submerged in crystal blue water. Teal and Steel – Grey Herringbone is just as its name suggests, a classic green-teal with soft grey. Rich yet subtle!

The Perfect Fit; having designed the whole collection, testing out colour and weave combinations we think that Teal and Steel teams up excellently with other blues and greens in the Heart of Huddersfield range. A special mention to the delightful birdseye weave Rolling Hills that coordinates particularly well and will emphasises the green tones brilliantly.
Did you know that there are two different coloured warps within the twelve Herringbone fabrics? There are six herringbones with a soft marled pale grey warp, which combine with the coloured weft yarns to make these six gorgeous soft pastels tones. The other warp is a rich deep marled teal which combines with the coloured weft yarns to make these striking rich warming tones. Teal and Steel is one of the six soft pastel herringbones.
