This classic suiting fabric, favoured by kings and movie stars is woven in cool, breathable cotton with added elastane for ease of movement. The characterful small checked design which originated from the Royal hunting estates of Scotland was originally a much rougher wool tweed fabric, designed to keep out the elements. The grandson of King Edward the V11 (The Duke of Windsor) who became The Prince of Wales (and then abdicated) made the design more popular in a finer form of wool suiting. Since then this classic suiting has been worn for generations and favoured by top designers from Ralph Lauren to Tom Ford.
This fabulous cotton and elastane blend suiting is both stylish and practical and features a classic monochrome palette. For those who can’t wear wool or prefer not to, you have a close weave fabric that’s stable and soft to touch with a crisp (yet soft enough to drape) elegant handle - this is a great alternative. The added elastane giving you the opportunity to fashion fitted styles with ease of movement.
