Alpine Rockery - Yorkshire Tweed Herringbone is a gorgeous all wool tweed. Manufactured in Huddersfield undergoing the same processes as our exclusive Heart of Huddersfield range. This fabric is not one of Fabworks' own exclusive designs.
Woven from a delightful blend of cleverly textured yarns, this subtle yet fresh combination has a predominantly mid grey tone akin to craggy limestone rocks. A beautiful multi tonal warp yarn of mid marled grey forms the base and the natural white yarn forms the weft. The weave of the yarns creates a delicate contrast between the chevrons of the herringbone weave. The addition of pretty multicoloured Donegal flecks throughout the natural white yarn elevates this delightful fabric producing further points of interest and the opportunity to add multicoloured notions such as buttons and accessories.
This subtle detail of the yarn sits prettily between the limestone grey chevrons, like brightly coloured alpine flowers sitting happily in a neat rockery. If you're a lover of grey and want to gently add some pops of colour, this is an ideal starting point.
