Foothills - Harris Herringbone is an all wool herringbone tweed fabric from our very special Heart of Huddersfield range, part of the Valley Mist collection. Woven from Harris yarns, this natural and charcoal toned woollen has a strong, hard-wearing marled charcoal warp yarn and a marvellous melange of alternating weft yarns in palest grey and natural white with sandstone that create a subtle contrast for the herringbone design and give an overall mid grey-beige tone.

The blend of coloured fibres within Foothills’ yarns produce a slightly obscured and hazy look to the small herringbone weave that is full of natural tones, like foothills shrouded in mist.

This closely woven woollen has a versatile light / medium weight with a traditional country wool tweed feel. Boasting a stable handle and reassuring drape, Foothills - Harris Herringbone is ideal for all lovers of textiles, natural fibres and especially fabric connoisseurs. This skilfully crafted fabric will ‘do as it’s told’, wool of this kind is hard-wearing, easy to sew and will stand the test of time. Dressmakers, Reenactors, Costumiers, Interior Designers and Craftspeople and all lovers of textiles will find a plethora of uses for this first-rate herringbone, taking you through A/W and into spring.
