We have placed this superb fabric in the lining category but its fabulously strong yet silky construction means that it is perfect for a plethora of dressmaking purposes that you will want to feature the outside! Soft cool silken viscose yarns are woven into horizontal stripes of alternating scrummy caramel and cream tones that screams quality and class.

Caramel & Cream Stripes is stable width & lengthwise and boasts a reassuringly weighty drape quality. This winning combination of stability, strength and delicious drape means there are so many garments you can make!

Create the chicest hard-wearing lining for your classic camel winter coat or jacket, as well as stylish pleated skirts - use the stripes vertically (the 150cm width means you can make skirts with a finished length of around 70cm / 27.5inches, using both halves of the full width). Play with the direction of the stripes to create stylish summer dresses with panelled skirts and slimming chevron details. This breathable, chic fabric will make a superb Closet Core - Elodie Wrap Dress, or alternatively a wonderfully summery jumpsuit with très chic Georgina Cleos - Riviera (TV series) vibes? The possibilities are endless for this fab fabric which has plenty of redeeming features.

Great fabric

I am very pleased with the quality and drape of this fabric. The pattern is just what I wanted with the stripes running across the fabric rather than down the length.
