Introduction:
Truffe Noir - Fine Italian Virgin Worsted Wool is a classic superfine flat weave, ex-designer, Italian wool worsted suiting. Similar to our Tartufo Nero but not as fine but equally handsome.
Colour:
This Italian classic is woven with timeless combed, black all-wool fibres that produce a matte black, solid tone. Black suitings are a must, super smart and so versatile, perfect for mixing and matching with other separates within your wardrobe.
Properties:
Truffe Noir boasts a close flat matte weave. The deceptively lightweight hand belies the opposite, wool fabrics of this quality are hard-wearing, crease-resistant, yet comfortably warm. Tailored pieces will benefit from a quality lining. Italian suitings are some of the best in the world and this is no exception. Stable in handle yet sleek and drapey, perfect for creating soft folds and gathers.
Garment Suggestions:
Truffe Noir is perfect for sharply tailored suits for both men and women, but definitely not limited to suits alone. If suit-making isn't your forte, put this superb fabric to use for less formal but equally smart outfits, such as shirt-dresses, tunics, shift dresses and skirts too.
