Introduction:

Slinky Stretch Twill Suiting - French Navy is a classic blue navy, finely woven, practical and comfortable polyester and elastane suiting boasting a matte finish and a fine twill weave. This excellent, easy wear- easy care suiting was originally from a company that specialised in glamorous, vintage style ladies wear. So now it's waiting for you to create your own glamorous, "me-made" styles.

Colour:

This classic French navy is ideal for creating key pieces and will carry you through all the seasons. Ideal teamed up with classic red and white Breton tops to create chic sailor-inspired outfits worthy of Madame Chanel herself.

Properties:

French Navy has a firm retentive stretch down the length and across the width (due to a little added elastane). A superb slinky drape quality makes it perfect for a plethora of dressmaking projects!

Garment Suggestions:

Other fantastic uses include high-waisted pleated trousers like our The Pattern Stash- Cordelia Trousers, palazzo pants, neat cigar or capri pants and of course all of your casual tailoring needs. Jackets, pencil skirts, trousers etc. Make the most of this fabulous fabric's drape quality and width wise stretch by fashioning 1950s style fit & flare dresses or cute skater style dresses too! Take a look at Charm Patterns for some truly fabulous vintage styles!

There are many other patterns available suitable to use with French Navy. Think clean, flowing lines and unfussy cuts.
