Woven from a primarily close weave with a feature design in a slightly open Leno weave of zigzag vertical stripes and interlocking alternating diamond detail. With a fine grain texture and superfine crosshatching and slubs, this linen fabric has a matte appearance on the flat weave area and subtle lustre on the Leno weave. Stable width and lengthwise with a reassuring drape quality, slightly crisp but will soften with wash and wear. Perfect for neat shirts, overshirts, dresses, pleated skirts and will form full gathers etc. Also perfect for light soft furnishings such as curtains and table linens.
